First Night Menorah Lighting
What an exciting evening with a large, beautiful crowd at Hewlett’s Veteran’s Memorial Triangle for the first night lighting of the Menorah. Everyone enjoyed delicious, traditional Chanukah treats and Chanukah music.
The Menorah was lit by Alex & Rachel Kondov, Steve & Inga Fruman and Steve & Heather Bouskila and their families. NYS Assemblyman Ari Brown was also with us enjoying the festivities.
Rabbi Tenenboim addressed the crowd with words of inspiration from the scissor lift high above the heads of the onlookers with sounds of joy from the children as he dropped Chanukah Gelt to chants of Am Yisroel Chai.
Thank you Chief Adam Sheflin and the Hewlett Fire Department for the famous Chabad of Hewlett Gelt Drop and to the Danny Gluck and NCPD 4th precinct and auxiliary police for security.
Thank you to the Hewlett-Woodmere Business Association and David Friedman for helping to make this event a success.
