Chanukah began this year with the horrific attack on Chabad of Bondi Beach. It shook us all but darkness will NOT win. We CELEBRATED Chanukah! We responded with MORE light. Close to 1,000 people participated in our 10 Chanukah events this year! |
Hewlett's First Menorah Lighting |
Despite it being one of the coldest nights of the year, our community gathered to celebrate with Chanukah treats, uplifting words of inspiration, and lively music that warmed the heart. In a moving moment, the Jewish torch was passed by members of the Hewlett community, from Holocaust survivors to young children - symbolizing the unbroken chain of Jewish light, faith, and continuity. |

One of the most meaningful moments of this unforgettable Chanukah was the “passing of the Jewish torch.”
Children, parents, and seniors, each representing a different part of our beloved Chabad family, were honored to pass the torch that lit the Menorah. It was a beautiful expression of our unbroken chain, linking generations through light, pride, and Jewish continuity. |

The lighting of the Hewlett Grand Menorah every single night with real fire - and its beautiful LED branches, thanks to Amir Karadi, lit up our community and the hearts of so many. Its glow was especially meaningful this year, when darkness tried to overcome us, reminding us once again that even a small light can push away so much darkness. |
