A beautiful community celebrating a beautiful event. Everything was outstanding from the decorations to the program that included comedian Steve Marshall, Mordechai's beautiful singing, the awards ceremony honoring the Jewish Kids Club 5th grade class, the Shabbat Kids Program counselors and the Hewlett High School award.

We had a very emotional prayer for Israel led by Avi Wertenteil - a Hewlett resident who served in the IDF, all the guests lit their phones to symbolize light over darkness.

The food was amazing and the atmosphere was wonderful and of course the celebration of Rabbi & Rivkie's 40th birthday with the video presentation of "40 facts you may not have known about Rabbi and Rivkie" that their children prepared.

It was a great opportunity to give an update about the building progress and to thank all the donors

The highlight of the evening truly was Mordechai's singing

Prayers for Israel
The heart of the evening was led by Avi Wertenteil - a Hewlett resident and IDF Soldier, while the crowd lit their phones to symbolize light over darkness.

Book of Birthday Wishes
Many friends from the community sent their birthday wishes - with donations - to Chabad in honor of Rabbi & Rivkie's 40th!
The Book was screened throughout the event and Rabbi & Rivkie really appreciated the warm sentiments from the community
